Cuz i think his play by play is very lackluster...maybe because the nug he smokes is also very lackluster...what do u all think?

I was mainly stressing the point that Bill Walton overuses the word "lackluster"...im surprised u didnt pick up on that you big Walton fan you!

bill walton doesnt do play by play he does color commentary. there is a big difference. for color commentary bill is very knowledgeable as you have to respect his acumen and experience. but he's also bill walton and he's a little out there so he makes sweeping generalizations about how good guys are and he shows his personality alot. overall he isnt that bad. he was much worse when they used to team him with snapper jones because they would bicker back and forth.
here's some choice bill-isms:
throw it down big man, throw it down.
that was horrrible.

I wouldn't necessarily say lack luster, but he can be annoying at times and rambles on about plays from 3-4 possessions ago. Bill Walton talks sometimes about the players on the court as if he never made an error and I for one was not really that impressed with Bill Walton's career stats for someone that talks like he was the perfect player. The answerer above me is probably Bill Walton that's why he got so upset.

Bill Walton can sometimes be the most annoying commentator in the NBA. But I don't think his play by play is lackluster.

I think your question is very lackluster--Bill Walton has been doing this for over 20 years. He knows his basketball and presents it well(all be it with his own twist)
Maybe you can do it better, go to school and learn to be a sportsbroadcaster

I totally agree that he his ho-hum in hiscomments, and he does it with bias towards one team or another, too!
