Look. Six hours travel time is not at all bad.
You and your friend can get together every 2 weeks or, at least, once a month. You can talk, email and write.
A large part of maturity is being adaptable. I would add, change is good. You learn and you grow.
And think of this. Won't you cherish the time that you make for each other and put out an effort to only do those things together that are necessary and meaningful? No more sitting around saying," What do you wanna do? Er, I dunno, what do you think?"
Here's to an effective and purposeful friendship and a satisfying life.
May you stay best buds for as long as you live.

We are all connected spiritually, but the connection between you and someone you are close to can certainly have those types of effects on your mind and cause the dreams you are having.

Why is this person moving in with people he doesn't get along with? Or is that just part of the dream? Because if that is true you may see their future unhappiness which is causing you anxiety and these realistic emotional dreams.

Separation from someone you are close to is hard 6 hours away isn't too far you can still keep in touch!

The human brain is a tricky creation. :) You probably feel that you're going to loose your best friend. Usually when we sleep we dream about unresolved situations that happen to us. Our mind tries to find an answer to questions and problems we deal with while we're awake. You probably think about your friend moving far away from you.
Try to talk to him/her. Get it out of your system. Try to consciously work on the problem a little bit. Good luck!
