One of three things,

1. Mankind will blow the place up
2. It will become so polluted and devoid of natural resources that mankind will die out and the planet will be ruled by cockroaches
3. The planet will be destroyed when the sun expands into a red giant

You really want my take?

The mayan calendar ends 12/21/2012- from what I understand, there are other religions that have this date as an end point.

It doesn't bother me, any day is as good as the next-- I don't believe in any miraculous ascension into heaven- or devils overpowering the earth- as far as I'm concerned, there already are enough "devils" on this earth, thank you very much. There could only be two scenarios that make SENSE to me and probably others:

The asteroid- and by the way, there is one coming into play around the mayan date - that date correlates with a very pecular alignment of our sun moon and planet, an asteroid will wipe us out, just like it did in prehistoric times.....to me, not a bad way to go--- here one minute, gone the next-- faster than I can type by the way.

The second is more evil- nuclear holocaust- the general population have no idea how devastating a nuclear explosion can be-- we would all be wishing it was the asteroid. Death would be quick for those lucky to be at the site of the explosion- slower for those within I think 2-300 mile radius, and then painfully slow and devastatingly brutal for the rest who will suffer all types of illnesses from the fallout---

Nothing else makes sense to me except global warming- which will take longer (maybe) than 2012. The thoughts of California, Alaska, Hawaii, all of the Caribbean, Florida, parts of Texas, of course New Orleans, New york and parts of New England "disappearing" under water is mind boggling but it can happen and our government which hides everything from us because we are "children" and couldn't handle the truth, knows exactly what areas would be effected and what would be left an the consequences it would play on the world powers---no England.......and yet, we don't even send a delegate to the World Conference on global warming........that says it all.

So, enjoy, enjoy as we still have time to enjoy---our days are numbered and I'm at peace with it....I hope you are too--just hope and if you believe in praying, pray for door #1- the asteroid- that would be quicker and faster and we will all go together............

The United States (Babylon) shall fall during the reign of the 10th President of the United States. The 10th President of the U.S. shall take office in January 2009.
But the beginning of the end shall not be until after the Word of God (Jesus) shall declare the Blessed, in the year 2800 AD. From 2800 AD every 20 years God shall utter the Words until 2940, when God utter the final Word, and the earth and the universe shall be no more. After that tribulation God shall create a New Universe and a New Earth and the Meek shall inherit it.

Daniel 8:13 is written 200300 days divided by 360 days = 556 years, 4 months, and 19 days or (April 19, 33 AD)

Daniel 12:11 is written 100290 days divided by 360 days = 278 years, 7 months

Daniel 12:12 is written 1003530 days divided by 360 days = 2787 years, 7 months

Jesus seventy times seven
Seventy = seventy generations 70 x 40 = 2800
Seven = seven other spirits more wicked then you
2800 AD is the Final Judgment and it is Just.

A TIME = 21,6 Billion years
TIMES = 1,960 years (2 each)
A HALF TIME = 980 years

1960 + 980 = 2940, Year of the Blessed 2800 AD

7 Ages, 7 Seasons, 7 Little Seasons
Each have 6 days of labor, 1 day of rest

Life
20, 40, 400, 4,000, 40,000, 400,000, 4,000,000

The Earth and the Universe
40,000,000, 400,000,000

The 10th President of the U.S. shall fall to Gog and Magog
The 10th President of the U.S. shall take office in January 2009

By the political climate it looks likely that the end of the world as far as humans are concerned will probably be nuclear war. The actual end of the earth, however, will almost definitely be the death of the sun, which will then expand and overtake the earth and the rest of the solar system. The only realistic way the earth could perish before that is if an asteroid or meteor larger than earth (yes, they exist) takes out the planet first.

It will happen one day, and many species will disappear, including Man's. But it won't be the end of the "space ball" we call planet earth, even if it remains where it is a little bit different, for a little bit longer, and very damaged. The cockroaches shall rulle, I tell you: they will take over! hehe Responsibility: either man's nuclear power will do it, a commet will one day reach us or the Global Warming and Earths changes are already taking over the process of destruction, bit by bit.

My take on it, honestly, is that I'm sick and tired of dealing with it. I simply don't understand the FASCINATION with the end of the world. The world has been here for 4.5 billion years. Life has been here for about 2 billion years. Mankind for between 6 million and 40,000 years depending on how you look at it.

Why in the hell is everyone talking about the end like it's going to happen in their lifetime? There is simply NO indication whatsoever that it is imminent. Friggin' live your lives!

The Sun will get old.
As it ages it will expand consuming the plantets: Mercury, Venus, and Earth. Then the Sun will collapse and this will force the remaining planets to be sucked into it (Mars, Jupiter, Saturn).

BTW, the Bible say's the God will destroy the Earth with fire ... & ah, the Sun's fire.

Plague and virus. But I'm sure humans will find a way to make it worse. They've got this knack for either ignoring a bad stiuation or making a bad situation totally FUBAR...

It will happen very slowly over tens of thousands of years. When it finally is complete it'll be kind of a let down. We'll go out with a muted whimper.
