It has been 10 years since I was 17 weeks, but I believe a soft belly at that stage is perfectly normal. I do remember how hard my belly got later on. I do hope you are seeing your ob for regular checkups. Your OB can help to alleviate any concerns.

I believe if you have a little extra belly fat before the pregnancy begins it's normal to have soft belly still. If you're going to regular doctors appointments I wouldnt be worried at all, but if not then I would make an appointment just to put your mind at ease. GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS -(if it's you)

Yes, mine stayed soft until I was around 25 weeks. I'm 36 weeks now. Enjoy the softness because I am very uncomfortable now that it's hard!!!

it all depends on your size and the size of the baby. i am a big girl and you can't even tell i'm pregnant until 3-4 months pregnant. you couldn't feel the hardness of my belly through all the extra belly i have! fell a little bit lower like over your pelvic bone right in the center it should be hard down there!

I'm 17 weeks. It feels a bit firm when I stand up and on the sides, but I wouldn't say it's FIRM by any means. I'm kinda squishy...haha. alot probably depends on your weight prior.
I'm 126lbs 5'7

yup, that is normal....It will be about 20 weeks that it will start getting harder. Also if this is not your first child it will be a bit longer because you dont have the ab muscles you used to.
