Via Internet or Via the Internet?

When writing a formal paper about methods of enrollement, and one methodis on-line, do you capitalize the word INTERNET? And do you state via internet or via the Internet?

You did say formal "via the Internet"
Not unless you want them to think your screaming at them
No I hardly write formal papers anymore

no capitalizing and it's via the internet
