I have been an avid fan from FF7 onwards. I've been waiting in eager anticipation for this twelfth outing since clocking X-2. The only reasons I don't have 12 yet are
1) I don't have a PS2, and
2) I'm worried my life will go down the FF-bingeing toilet.

Persuade me for or against.

Ive put in my hours, but its all about moderation. You have to be able to separate your life from your playtime and know when to just shut it off and go outside. I am lucky enough to have a 10 year old daughter who loves nothing more than to curl up beside her daddy with some chips and watch me play. My wife will even sit with the baby and put her to sleep while i play. But we still go to the park, go to church, go to movies, do what families do. As long as all of your responsibilities, spoken AND unspoken (unspoken ones are for you married guys), your time is your own. And if your lucky, your life will enjoy that time with you.

PS: The game itself kicks ***, so i really dont know what your waiting for...

If you have played all the other Final Fantasy games then you have to buy this.
Its story is as in-depth as FFX with as much heart felt betrayal, and imense action that you can feel like you are in the story. The way the battle system works is great. The world is your battle field, no more battles were you get killed before unleashing a attack. Now you can attack all at once like FF-X-2. The sphere grid is no longer there, you now have your own license grid, to morph and mould your characters to what you want instead of saying well shes a mage and hes a warrior. Now you can be both! The level system is great. It stops you becoming a FF BINGER as people call it, because you choose when you think its right to level upu not when the game tells you to level up. Quickenings are like limit breaks in ffvii, and can take a tremendous amount of damage off one enemy or more. Now you can take on what you want with a good few quickenings to destroy any monsters health. All in all its such a great game, I love it!. Rated 9/10 not 10/10 because I havent got past 25% yet and that is how brilliant and beatiful this game is. It is truly a work of genius!!!! Happ I could help.

I've played all the other ones and I wasn't impressed by 12. It has some cool new features like the gambit system and the licenses but overall the game wasn't as fun to follow as say FF 6. FF 7 to me was more enjoyable than 12. I wouldn't recommend it unless you already have a PS2. FF 6 is still my favorite.

i am also a fan from FF's but to me 12 did not catch my attention. but i did like it alot. the story was not as good as X the charaters were not convincing enough to me. over all i rated it a 8 because of the new fighting system, the gambits, and the licenses. if you dont have a ps2 then i would say dont get the game but if you have access to one then i would say play it i have spend about 50+ hours in the game to beat it and i enjoyed it.

i do no longer think of its sq. Enix's fault because of the fact they're attempting something new for a metamorphosis and failed at it yet they might desire to earnings from it and execute it extra effective. If sq. Enix is wise they might desire to remake very final fable 7 because to me is the wonderful very final fable. On that notice they might desire to additionally remake 8 and 9 as properly :).
