It seems like the new thing is adding images next to URL's. How exactly do I go about this for my website?

I added a .ico in my root directory and added this html code in my index html between the ...
HREF="/http://codysroofing.com/favicon.ico">...
Any ideas why it doesn't work?

You have a forward slash in front of http:

change href="/http:// . . ."
to
href="http://
