Are you using linux or windows are a mac? Call your isp to help set up your network connections. See if another browser works. Just a few ideas.

open your browser click on tools -> options -> advanced -> network -> then under connections click settings then make sure that the dot next to direct connection to the internet is selected
then close your browser and try again

Turn off computer,
Turn off modem,
turn off router (if you have one)
for 2 minutes

Turn on modem,
Turn on router (If you have one)
Turn on computer
Boot up
Log on to the net

reason for this is to get a new IP Address for your system
and renew the connection some times the ISP could be over loaded
