yes it weakens them, and can cause infections. If you have someone that doesn't do them well you can have serious infections. I would say if you want to have them done, give yourself 6 weeks every few months to let your fingernail beds recuperate or rotate the kinds of nails you have put on, silk, acrylic etc.

yes, it weakens your nails and can even do long term damage or cause infection to set in as your nails need to "breathe." If you must maintain your nails constantly with false ones, then I'd have them removed for a couple of weeks at a time in between each visit. Hope this helps!

If it just a manicure, no. If you are having those sculptured tips put on, yes. They destroy your nail bed, and it takes some people a long time to grow healthy nails again after they remove the sculps.
