I was born here, I live here, and I don't plan on moving, but I distinguish between the love of my homeland, a sentimental attachment, and jingoism, a rabid belief that my country can do no wrong. The former is an natural expression of fondness. The latter, however, has justified all manner of barbarism.

USA is the best at many things and I respect your viewpoint. Nicaragua has quite a few things going for it. I chose to live here and so do many other people originally from USA.

mabye right now yes, but not EVER. many great nations have come and go. there were much bigger and more successful nations and empires in the past though, from the egyptions to the roman empires to the ottoman empires. they accomplished alot in education, and everything.

But, i caution you. do not get cocky, when you get cocky you make mistakes.
The US has had it's dark moments in history as well. We simply have been blessed enough to overcome them.
Also I think you are fogetting possibly the strongest country in europe, Germany. Germany is among the most powerful countries in the world.

I approve of your opinions but look at America for a second,
-Bush attacked Iraq for oil, he didn't give a damn about the people
-Bush spent much of America's war efforts on the Iraq War rather than War on Terrorism
-America does not have free health-care
-The rest of the world is scared of America because of your WMDs and your gigantic army
