Pre means before, but it's a woman's perogative to change her mind......so if she says she gets PMT, she get it and it's irrelevant what time of her cycle it is!!!!!!!! lol

I usually find I get PMT 2 days before my period, and the minute I get my period its like a massive uplift of mood. God I hate PMT I'm cranky, a chocolate addict and I drink loads of fluids. (non alcoholic) Think PMT should entitle you to hibernate till its over!

It used to stand for "Pre menstrual tension".
However I now understand that it can also stand for "Post menstrual tension".
If you take the 2 conditions as lasting for up to a week each, and the menstruation about the same, that doesn't leave much time for baby making (or practising how to make babies).
If you further take into account a condition I have recently discovered (also PMT but indicating "Perhaps I'll get menstrual tension") you might as well forget it all together.

my girlfriend gets it 11days before and it lasts for a week,life was a nightmare for me but dr gave her prozac and this helps
