if you were homeless, would you get your self arrested just to be able to go to jail where you could get fed? weird question i know but i was just wondering haha :) nicole

I was told most homeless people will do just that, break the laws, just so they can get some form of attention, shelter, and food. Prime example was a homeless person smoking a cigarette in a public place here, and wouldnt put it out till the cops got there.

I believe most homeless people are there by choice, no one that I know has ever forced another person to become homeless, today it has become nothing more than real big business, the more homeless the more money given to help them, those that help the homeless also help escalate the homeless they are payed vary well for it, they will never let the homeless down, keep them homeless means big dollars for them.

My ex is homeless..so I guess I can kinda answer this. Most of them actually avoid any kind of assistance. Going to jail or even a shelter, while it makes sense to you & I, is avoided like the plague to many of them. I dont know why. But I have tried to get him into hospitals (mental health issues) and everything else, but he refuses to go and would rather sleep behind a building or wherever he goes.

No people seem to think homeless are bums but I will let you in on a fact. Most of middle class Amercia are only one to two pay checks away from being homeless.Some times bad things happen to people.

No, being in jail is worse that being homeless. Jail you cant get out of whenever you want to. Homeless, you are free, and there are options, and opportunities, and people who care.

I would probably rob a bank. If I get lucky and get away...I will have money for a place and food. If I get caught I'll go to prision where I will still have a roof over my head and food everyday!!
