WKY? Western KY? Your weather should be warming up now, so yes, get out there and do it quickly...before the bushes getting warmed up and start growing. There are different types of bloomers in roses, some bloom on old wood (like climbers) and some bloom on new wood. Don't prune them all the way down to the ground, they will spend all their energy growing again.

I do not know where far WKY is but I prune my roses in the fall, not too far back tho, and mulch.

a easy slap on the nostril and a company "No-No" generally does the trick. enable them to appreciate who's boss. yet another approach that's somewhat useful to attempt may be bribing them mutually with your next-door acquaintances' backyard as a replace. Or enable them to frolic with the older couple around the streets' pink flamingos. If that would not artwork - forget approximately relating to the roses, that's little need. Your prized roses are not properly well worth the shortcoming of those delicious pixie sticks.

I was just watching a gardening show, I live in MN and they said this is the best time to trim your bushes.

Roses are pruned in autumn/fall, roses are planted in spring.
