I'm 22 and my husband is 23. We have been trying for 7 months to get pregnant, and nothings happened. My periods are regular, but I do have some lower abdominal pains that come and go, so I went to the doctor, they did a pelvic ultrasound and said everything looks fine, but I'm still have the pains. So if everything looks ok, then what could be the reason we haven't concieved yet?

➔ Trying to Conceive
I share your pain I do. My husband and I are in the same boat. Think of it this way, we have only 12 chances in a whole year to get pregnant. That isn't much. Also, if we time intercourse exactly right we still have only a 23% chance of getting pregnant, so it is quite difficult. I believe that we stress out so much about that our bodies can preform under the pressure. It gets to be so depressing and worrisome every month that goes by that our bodies are put through the ringer. I'm trying to just relax and see what happens. If you were given a clean bill of health, then I would just stop trying and let nature take it's course that is what I'm trying to do. Good Luck!

Well the first time I got pregnant on birth control but lost my baby when I was 6 months pregnant and now 4 months later I am having twins. So it will happen. It took me 3 months the first time on birth control than 4 months with out anything. It will happen I promise. If you think something is wrong you should ask about clomid that is what I used and got pregnant on the first try! I used it on my 4th month of trying and it worked.

You can have pain that is normal, right around when you ovulate. Have you charted when this is happening to find out if there is a pattern? I would highly recommend buying and reading the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Weschler. It has all sorts of answers to questions you didn't even know you had and it can help you learn to gather the information you need to conceive. A bonus is that it is super easy to read and fun to know about your body! Unfortunately, in the book, she has horror stories of doctors who didn't know what the **** they were talking about in regards to women's health, and so she highly recommends knowing about your own health so that you can go in informed! Read the book, it'll be the best money you ever spent.

Pain is usually not a good sign. Often the abdominal pain is associated with pelvic inflammation. If pain persists, you might need to have another checkup with the doctor. Good luck.

i know how you feel, my husband and I have been ttc for 11 months now, people tell me to just forget about it, quit stressing over it and it will happen, as you probaly know that is so hard to do, I found some comfort when I put it all in God's hands , I somehow know he'll oneday bless me with another one of his little angels, So all i can tell you to do is pray! Good luck

I know how you feel. It's so depressing every month when the good old period comes. You mentioned pain that comes and goes throughout the month. Have you been tested for Endometriosis?
Good luck!
