At times, I am too organized! The pantry has all 'like' veggies stacked together and organized so I can see it all at first glance, (saving me the trouble of buying something we still had), the closets have clothes arranged by season, item then color, so I can just grab and go while doing the rush for work, the skillets are stacked together, as well as the pots and lids so I don't have to search everywhere for hours for one thing. The closets look like a store's shelves with everything lined up by category. I have a place for everything.
I have to make lists for everything, as I can never remember it all on my own. If it's work related, it goes in a day planner I carry with me back and forth to work. If it's for home, it goes on a calendar in the kitchen. If it's general info, it goes on a bulletin board in the kitchen. This works better for me than having post-it notes everywhere, which is what usually happens.
Unfortunately for me, it's either all or nothing. If I'm in a rush and can't keep my closet organized, everything gets tossed in...same with the pantry, etc. Then, I have to spend time later cleaning it all up and getting reorganized. I'd say I have OCD, but when I get unorganized, I'm not a freak about getting it back. ;) I just like having a place for everything so I can find it when I need it, and have it look nice at the same time.

I LOVE organizing! I write down everything! I also don't really allow a "junk drawer" in the house. I make sure everything has a home. If for some reason an object does not have a home it is put into a Misc. category, which is different from a junk drawer. The reason? You can reevaluate what the misc. stuff actually is at a later date and determine if it is needed, where as a junk drawer is like a black hole...missing parts, pens, old battteries...no hope.

yes I write everything down. I try to clean one room every day . I work only in one room at a time , I set my alarm clock for 15, min´s to see how much work I can get done in this amount of time , and trust me you can do a lot. I also put the washing machine on at night so the clothes are ready to hang first thing in the morning , only do the ironing once a week , so TV on and only the ironing , , I try to pre-cook or have things ready just to pop into the oven the next day , whew! and so many other thing´s

Well im a housewife and i keep my house pretty tidy and clean even though i have 3 kids. I have a place for everything so that way when i need it i know exactly where it is. It helps to not have so much clutter because cleaning the house is faster and things are easier to find and a clean house is easier to breathe in. A cluttered house makes me feel uncomfortable and like im suffocating in junk. :)

I used to write everything down -- especially on Post-It notes..they were everywhere...in my purse, on my mirror...now I have a PDA with a calendar. It's much better and neater. Besides that, I'm OCD anyway. I'm super-organized naturally. It runs in my family.

I am currently studying to become a Professional Organizer so the answer is yes for me. Clutter and disorganization causes huge amounts of stress so the more organized and clutter free one is the more peaceful and calm their lives are.
Good luck!
