I am thinking about transfering to Oklahoma University next year and I was wondering what the weather conditions are like there? I know Oklahoma is in the path of "tornado alley" and curious if they get many? I remember when Oklahoma had that bad tornado back in 1999.

The bull's eye for tornadoes in the US is in central Oklahoma with 1326 reported over a 25 year period and 7.9 tornadoes per 10,000 sq miles. However the good news is that they have superb radar coverage and do a very excellent job of finding those meteorological conditions which are most likely to generate a tornado in this part of the country and I would not make a decision about moving to Oklahoma based on these statistics.
