I'm glad that the people of that generation seemed to have more resolve than we seem to have today. Ironic that some of the very people who have strived towards equality, free speech, and peace are the very people who want to sympathize with people who would see this as a way of our life and blame America for taking a stand against them.

actually.. my very first fear was not of terrorism.. it was that America would generalize it's reaction.. in other words that we would be so angry that we lashed out at anyone or anything instead of staying focused... at first I thought the focus was going to stay... but I was wrong... and now we don't know the status of the man responsible for 9/11...
in response to terrorist and awaking a sleeping giant.. I only wish that were the case.. America is a GREAT giant killer... they are a swarm of hornets... and we are trying to swing at them with a broad sword...

no we can't the time and economy has a large part to do with why things were worse then as of now.
After a war or during is harder on a country, we had a black market for a while and now were in debt in the billions but we had less people die then WW2 and it's not nuclear yet

I don't think so, We went after all Japanese occupied island and then Japan after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
We didn't drop a nuke on Beijing because Japan attacked us.
Weren't most of the High-jackers from Saudi Arabia and one was from Egypt and the other Syria, I think?
But we brought the fight to Iraq........ummmmmmm So, no its nothing like that.
