I think some people on this thread mean from the premiership, which, in that case is no. Arsenal have not been out of the top flight since 1918, I think they've only ever been relegated twice (And I think they were known as Woolwich Arsenal back then). Not sure about the others though, but they have all been relegated, Chelsea as recently as 1988.

There are only TWO of the teams, mentioned, that I, personally, can REMEMBER outside of the top flight, - and NONE of them, were LIVERPOOL, ARSENAL, EVERTON, or TOTTENHAM!

The one that gave me a sort of SADISTIC PLEASURE, though, was the LAST match of what, - I THINK, - was the 1974-75 season, - which saw the "RED SC*M", - a.k.a. "UNITED", - condemned to RELEGATION at the HEEL, of one of their most legendary players, - the great DENIS LAW, - as they were BEATEN, by arch-RIVALS, - Manchester CITY, - the ONLY "REAL" Manchester Club!

No DOUBT, there were GREAT CELEBRATIONS, in EVERY pub INSIDE the City, on THAT night!
