All- Inclusive is definately the way to go... there is a wonderful resort and spa on the Mayan Riviera that I send a lot of my clients to and have never had a complaint.... Aventura Spa Palace... palaceresorts.com, also another favorite but a little more upscale is le blanc spa resort.... www.leblancsparesort.com... both are very elegant and adults only....

Try Hotel Diria in Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica.

Its a five star Hotel despite the real low prices during the "low" season for tourists - like $50.00 a night with dry bar, TV, phones in the room, and its right on the Beach with the Blue Pacific at your feet!

Three huge swimming pools, and a breakfast that comes with the room - that will knock your socks off!

They have a great Website that you can go to by going to your browser and putting in "Hotel Diria, Tamrindo Beach, Costa Rica"

YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Or Try Hotel Colon in Merida (Yucatan Province, Mexico).

They too have their own website $28.00 a night, with TV, Phone, Bar, Swimming Pool and located one block east of the Zocallo or the Public Square.

Lots of History to this place and festivities in the Zocallo every evening!

Good Luck!

Economic wise I would say set up your backyard or a medium size feild and spend the night together looking at the stars and planning the future. Aside from being close to nature and spending less, it would be romantic to set up tables and champaigne together with a small tent made of thin clothe and a big bed inside... Mmmmm... Sounds yummy.= )

But if you're willing to spend money try Paris, France.= )

Hawaii is still the #1 spot and for good reasons. It's easy, not overly expensive and it's romantic. The Caribbean is grossly overrated. Europe would also be a great idea: Paris, Rome or Venice would all work out great.
