Smear peanut butter on the door and ask your friend if he can make a sandwich with it. This ex plans that a jar is not ajar.... expect of course, if the lid isn't on straight, In that case a jar might be said to be ajar.

Substitute the word AJAR with the word APART, then stress the DISTANCE between the EDGE OF THE OPENED DOOR and THE DOOR JAMB (Frame )
