You really do mean folk-rock and not just everything from the sixties?
The Byrds were the best folk-rockers, and their version of "Mr. Tambourine Man" might have been their best song. The one that sticks in my mind, though, is the mournful-sounding "Turn, Turn, Turn".

Where Have all the Flowers Gone -- written by Pete Seeger
also recorded by the Kingston Trio <<< they were great.
After the Trio split up --one member --Jon Stewart did some solo recording and was very good.
So was Peter Seeger,
Peter, Paul and Mary
Bob Dylan -- great songs --but annoying voice --sorry Bob
I know this was more 70s --but Joni Mitchell was one of my favorites folk singers ---- awesome songs !!
and James Taylor, Carole King, Carly Simon

I'm kinda partial to Get Together by the Youngbloods. It was their only "real hit" but I just loved it. Good answers by everybody, by the way!
