Generally, yes. Not always though. Every body is different and every pregnancy/birth is different. Mine were like this:

1st - 5hrs labour, 1 week early 6lb 14oz
2nd - 2.5hrs labour, on time 8lb 5oz
3rd - 1.5hrs labour, 10 days over 9lb 2 oz
4th - 5hrs labour, on time 9lb 15oz

I've heard that when you go into labor w/ your 2nd child, the time is usually cut in 1/2. I was in labor for 16 hrs w/ my daughter which meant I should've only been in labor for 8 hrs w/ my 2nd. Unfortunately, I was induced w/ my 2nd and that prolongs the whole process, so I was in labor for 18 1/2 hrs! Ugh! The actual delivery itself was the same. 3 pushes for both and they were out! Altho' when my 1st was born, they were shocked to find out that she came out so quickly and she was my 1st. They actually asked me if I was sure she was my 1st! What morons! I'm a determined person, so I wanted that kid out of me as soon as possible! I wasted no time! LOL Hope you have the same luck!

Typically sooner. Most pregnancies and people are different. I labored for 7 1/2 hours with my first with 1/2 hour of pushing. With my second one I labored for 7 hours and one push. She was one month premature and induced labor so she was tiny.

Usually, if there are no complications.

My first labor took 13 1/2 hours with lots of pushing (5 lbs. 13 oz. at 1 month early).

My second labor took 5 hours with 2 pushes (5 lbs. 6 oz. at 3 weeks early).

My third labor took 6 hours with lots of pushes (so many I lost count but he was 7 lbs. 11 oz. and only 2 weeks early).

Good Luck!

In theory, yes. Your body has gone through the process before, so a lot of times, the process happens much more quickly. There are always exceptions to this however, so be prepared for anything.

Usually the second and so on goes faster but not always. I was in labor for 13hrs and pushed for 1hr with my first, but my second I was in labor for 6hrs and pushed for 10min. I actually almost didn't make it to the hospital..lol

every time you have a kid ti's suppose to get better from the first because your body is already experienced in that filed unless you run into some complications which can prove to longer and harder.
