That is why this is called The UNITED States of America. We are founded on different ideas and principles from different people. That is the essence of the United States, having a different opinion and being able to express it. Just because some one has a different view that does not mean they go form their own country. What does any of this have to do with you getting married?

Actually the "Blue" state are the richer states, and should be paying more in taxes to help the poor, less wealthy "red" states. This is the essence of income redistribution. Leaving the country shows only the greed of the rich trying to shirk their duties to pay their fair share of taxes.

And what makes you think you would be able to marry? Because it's legal in states like California or New York? Funny, there is not one "Blue" state that permits gay marriage today. Massachusetts? Sorry, there the voters are going to repeal the courts order while the legislator just sits and watches, not wanting to touch this issue....

They tried that. It was called the Confederacy.

It led to the American Civil War, because the central government in DC decided that it was uancceptable for former states to leave the union and start their own country.

So a big war was fought, over the group that didn't want to be controlled by the Union government, and the group that wanted to be able to control everyone in the area.

The people who wanted their freedom lost.
