WellI live in winnipeg too. There is always the beach, Swimming, Going to the gym. If yo are still young try joining a gym. Going to large city parks you can jog or play frisbie. There is also martial arts. There are lots of things to do !!
The sturgeon creek, by the grace hospital is good for fishing.
You could always just go partying at the bar, some hot bars are TYC, The Pal, The O/C, Mardis Gras . . . Lot's of hot spots

Manitoba...Land of 100,000 Lakes and you can't a fishing spot.

Usually the rivers, streams, ponds and lakes have the most fish.
