WellI live in winnipeg too. There is always the beach, Swimming, Going to the gym. If yo are still young try joining a gym. Going to large city parks you can jog or play frisbie. There is also martial arts. There are lots of things to do !!
The sturgeon creek, by the grace hospital is good for fishing.
You could always just go partying at the bar, some hot bars are TYC, The Pal, The O/C, Mardis Gras . . . Lot's of hot spots

Lockport is pretty close, just North of the locks. You can boat , or fish from shore. There are a number of bait shops in the area as well.
