first of all, roe v wade will never be overturned - ever.

and most politicians don't actually want that - they want abortion to be the devisive issue it has been - that is also why they don't try to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies in the usa.

pro lifers have gained political power, but are up against the wall that all radicals hit when they are at odds with the vast majority of the population.

talk to the pro lifers about outlawing viagra and strip clubs and you will hear the height of hypocrisy that can exist anywhere.

there are more strip clubs in houston texas than the entire northeast usa...

Well, the very fact that you are equating abortion with birth control lays the problem with it out pretty clearly, no?

There is a *huge* difference - or there should be - between abortion and birth control.

No offense, but this is a silly question. Apples and oranges.

Oh, and for the record, I'm pro-choice, but only to a point.

Yes, and they have before. This is the reason many times that certain bills restricting abortion have not been passed...many times they contain a birth control rider. I am going through natural family planning classes right now in marriage preparation, and they consider birth control to be abortions. Seriously.

Ask our President - he supports those ridiculous unrealistic abstinence only programs. The answer is yes, when people start to impose their "moral" values on the rest of us they never know when to stop.
