Tyra Banks - How many think she is using all the hype over her weight gain to gain more publicity?

She has made are real show of herself, many think she is just using this to gain more publicity instead of just defending herself for the weight gain. By the way I think she looks fine and to be honest had not really noticed til the bathing suit shots. It is on the telly and news constantly and it is getting ridiculous

Well, talking about it right here is giving her even more attention and publicity...but WHO CARES if she has gained some weight!! Everyone is not supposed to be the same size anyway...how boring would that be! Just leave the poor girl alone! She had to "starve" herself while she was only modeling...now she is enjoying herself and people want to point the finger at her and make her feel bad!? I mean, you would think that she is a big 300 pounder or something the way people carry on about her. Don't we have more important things to concern ourselves with? I mean really!

Yeah, I mean let it go already. She looks fine and if she gains some weight so ef'n what. I haven't really paid much attention to what she has been doing to defend herself but I'm not surprised she uses her show to take advantage of that. Personally, I think she's pretty, and she can model with the best of them (obviously) so what's the big deal. They do have plus size models, she wouldn't be the first if it got that serious.

everyone in the media these days is obsessed with weight. tyra is a stunning women and gave up her modelling career in 2005 so probably isnt under pressure to be as slim. i have watched the latest series of americas next top model and she looks fine. in a world were at the moment size zero is the in thing good on people like tyra who stick two fingers back up at the media

I honestly don't think so. I watch her show every day she doesn't seem like trying to gain more publicity like these other celebrities that want attention. She went public about her weight because she tired of all the criticism and she did it to prove a point and she was standing up for herself.

I think Tyra Banks shows a good example to young people about weight . like she said on her show if people around her weight compare themselves to her and then all of a sudden she is being called fat, they might think that means they are fat. I didn't think she was that fat. On her show she put on the same bathing suit and wasn't fat at all!! I <3 Tyra :)

I do agree that Tyra Banks does want more publicity. If you had a show that not many people were watching, wouldn't you go and try to get more publicity?

I think that Tyra may be using her weight for publicity, and I think it is wrong. She really isnt fat and she needs to stop saying that she is. There are more ppl out there that are way fatter than she is. Shes making a big deal out of nothing.

I think she's probably use to criticism and is exhausted from keeping trim, she already has a hit tv show she doesn't need extra publicity, it's because of the new size zero craze that she may be using it publicllly to show other young girls you can still look good at any size and have a successful career.

i love tyra, who cares if she has put on a few pounds, i dont think she is doing it for publicity, on her show she bit back at her critics who had called her fat but good for her!

shes a beautiful lady, intelligent and funny. it is ridiculous that a little weight gain in this size zero culture causes so much fuss! one minute the press says size zero is bad then they slate curvy women! no one can win!

I totally agree with you Theatrefan. I hadn't noticed that she had put on weight either until I saw the pics in the media. Doesn't really matter though. She still a nice looking woman and besides, Canadian men like women with a little meat on their bones.
