I want a mac laptop. However, Mac OS Leopard will be releasing soon. (maybe sometime in June) Is the new OS worth waiting or should I get it now, and upgrade later?

Per http://www.macworld.com/news/2006/08/29/leopardpoll/index.php a majority describing the planned changes to OS X as interesting rather than important.

If you need the mac now, it's ok to go ahead. It will upgrade fine. You might even get an upgrade voucher to leopard with the mac (or negotiate for it).

Vista is a funny tale; a procedures too many complications it! i'm very aggravated because I paid a lot money for a 1/2-baked product. i purchased a MacBook a pair of weeks in the past, upgraded to Leopard some days in the past and that i honestly like it! I used to imagine Mac consumers were basically BS'ing at the same time as they suggested Macs "basically artwork", in spite of the undeniable fact that that's real. i have used homestead windows all my existence yet i'm satisfied i have ultimately seen the gentle. OS X is the destiny; i visit in undemanding words use vista at artwork because I even do not have any decision.

No need to wait, Tiger is great. Leopard will be too. It would be your choice, you would probably have to pay the upgrade fee which for Tiger was $130. However, this will not be like Vista where you need a hardware overhaul to do the upgrade.
Good luck!!
