Im 19, catholic, (layman) and I want to leave right away, so i'll be working for the money to go or should I go to college and learn something before I go, I would rather go now because surely I would be trained by the missionaries once there. So my question is should I go now or should I study, is it nessecary?

instead of spending alot of money to preach to them, and just some to give food(which is basically just buying their Christianity). Why don't you use ALL of that money to help them?

Layman missionaries are too expensive for the Catholic church to maintain, so there are very few, if any at all. Most Catholic missionaries out there are priests, monks, and nuns.

What would you be studying? If you were to choose anything other than religion it would come out as a waste of time. If you are sure this is what you want to do then by all means, go for it. No need to wait for the train to leave.

"Calling", its what they call for those who were born with a mission in spreading God's words. Meditate and you'll receive the answer the soonest. Ask for a sign and he'll give it to you. Being a missionary is for you to accept that you came from "nothing" so you are "nothing" and you have "nothing". Any words that come out from your mouth is from God and anything that you use being a missionary is from God.

Get on your knees and pray and do it for the sake of man-kind, not for the money. Greed is a sin

This is not the forum for this special question, ask and the question will be answered, ask in prayer, as this is between you and God
