At least for now, you could get an ethernet cable and go "wired".
Chances are your wireless router is dying or dead. Sometimes that happens. If so, just get a new one - it's probably not worth the time and trouble to diagnose what is wrong with it and try umpteen firmware upgrades etc.
At least that's what I went through a few years ago. My Netgear router has worked great as a replacement.

We could do with more information, What type of Router do you have, ? Who is your service provider etc?
Try this; Uninstall your router etc. Unplug your router all except for your main power supply.
Put your cd that came with the router in your cd-rom drive and install the software following the instructions given. Then plug in your USB cable and restart your computer windows should find the new hardware and install the drivers for it and you should be up and running again

This problem happened to me before, and I attempted also to reinstall the wireless driver several times with no success. Finally I resorted to checking up my Laptop through the dealer whom I got it from, and it turned out to be a hardware problem (The wireless adapter itself was not working in my Laptop). I suggest for you to check it as well, cause if it is in fact a hardware problem, no other solutions would work nor would you be able to detect it.
Regards,

Had a similar problem the other day. You've gone to tools and internet connections and checked your opening page I presume?

Who is your internet provider? If you are on Wanadoo/Orange I know they are upgrading certain broadband areas at the moment. My friend has been offline for a month because of it.

it is possible that your wireless connector is damaged or loose that's why it can't get a signal... other than that i don't think there would be anymore problems for your wireless internet to malfunction.....
