I found a wild baby bunny in my backyard and the mother had abandoned it(mother was gone for days and all the other babies died but this one). I took it in about 3 days ago and have been trying to figure out how to care for this little one to keep her alive. She is around 4 to 5 days old, her eyes and ears are still closed and she is just now starting to grow her fur.Does anyone know anything about taking care of baby bunnies? Especially Feeding, I have the pet nurser but she is so young that she doesnt know how to suck. Please help, I would really be thankful. This bunny deserves to live and I will do anything possible to help her.

to be honest and no to hurt your feelings but it is slim to nothing that it will survive. Being that it is that young and you said it doesnt have the sucking reflex it will probley die within a few days. Dont take it personal when it happens, it is nothing that you did. All you can do is try your best and hope that it works, if it survives it would be a miracle. Good Luck!!

They reason the mother abandoned the litter is b/c of the human scent-you shouldn't of touched the nest. But anyway, you should look up a wild life refuge in your area, they may take it or give u some tips-I wasn't trying to make you feel bad, but it is true. It is really hard for them to live without the mother this young.

Eye dropper in the bunnies mouth. But chances are not good. I tried this once, it died. Call a local vet and ask them what to feed it. I felt like there wa a reason the mama bunny rejected it, it may have something wrong with it. Good Luck.

Take it up with a pet store, like PetSupplies Plus or Petsmart, they'll give you advice and probably equipment and food.
