Ok I am bisexual and still coming to terms with it slightly but my parents do not know, my friends do but not my family and I would like to stay that way until I feel comfortable telling them when I probably move out.
But my actual problem is they watch me like a hawk and I am interested in by this gay magazine (GT). Now I can order it online but they notice everything that comes for me like letters and parcels... So it's hard to hide something...
Any ideas?

Oh I'm 14 by the way, so I can't move out yet and might not be able to get a PO Box because of my age or need a debit card. :(
I have no problem with picking it up out of the shop as long as I can come up with something once in a while to go out alone to go to W H Smith and pick it up...

Oh and I am in the UK as well. So might be different restrictions for these mail boxes.

you could always try a gay/bi e-zine, no obvious parcels, usually free and often a forum for talking too

Buy it from a shop if you aren't embarrassed & then hide it, that way you won't have to worry about your parents asking you what's in the mysterious package. If you are really worried about them finding the magazine you could even buy a lockable box or safe & put it under your bed or in your wardrobe incase they do some snooping. I know you are 14 so probably don't have loads of money, but you can get a digital safe from £24.99 from Argos. My parents used to be really suspicious of me & I had no privacy so I understand what it feels like. My Mum was always going through my drawers etc. I eventually got a wooden box with a lock on. They weren't pleased, but I said it was to keep letters & diaries in that I didn't want my brother looking at. Everyone needs their own private space & sometimes parents can be overly protective & then they don't respect your privacy. It's probably only because they care about you & don't want you to get in any trouble. I wouldn't tell your parents you are bisexual until you have come to terms with it yourself. There is no rush. Only you will know when the time is right. People you do eventually tell are more likely to react well if you are fine with it yourself. Good luck.

I'm sorry you are finding things a little difficult. Gay Times post the magazine in a plain envelope so your parents shouldn't see what it is. Or if it's easier, pick it up from a shop. I hope you find a good hiding place for it!
I wouldn't tell them just yet. Wait until you are a little more comfortable with it.

A po box at the local UPS store or Mailboxes ect. is a possibiltiy, though I'm not sure of age restrictions. Might want to check. The cost is around thirty bucks a month, so its kinda expensive. You could have it sent to a friends house or po box. As for storage, if you have no hidey holes of your own you might try a locker rental at a Greyhound station.
good luck

That's a toughie - all I can suggest is that you do what all teenage boys do with magazines they don't want their parents to see: pick them up at the shop, stick them in an opaque carrier and keep them under the mattress!!
ps: I'm bi too. It was really hard to tell my family but I'm sure yours'll cope in the end, just like mine did. Even if they do find out about your maggas, just tell them you are interested in the health section or that it's for a school project or something, until you feel ready to tell them the truth.

If you're old enough to move out then run like the wind!! They have no right to snoop into your business like that-maybe you just have to sit them down, tell thm how you feel & ask for some personal space. In the meantime see if you can set up a P.O box & have your mail diverted there.
Edit:if you're 14 & can't get a P.O box with no cred/deb card then how are you gonna pay for a magazine subscription?

instead of buying it on line, get it at the newsstand and then keep it in a safe place. If you are old enough you can always move into your own place, that way you not only could have any magazine you want but also do whatever you want. You can check too if the magazine is available on line.

what is your relationship like with your dad, would he understand that at your age it is natural to explore sexual content ?
If you told him you wanted to buy a magazine that maybe mum would not understand then maybe he would help you out, obviously the bisexual thing is a bit of a shock but if you feel that would be to much information for him leave out the bi bit.

I don't know how you can discreetly get a copy of Gay Times but there are a few free gay magazines online.

You need a locking trunk.
Every teen should have one, and they should make
a deal with their parents. In my case (a long time ago) it was a promise to not have any drugs or weapons in it, in exchange for them promising to not try to get in.
