How are you doing? I just had my first cigarette of the day and only had 3 yesterday! You don't have to answer about smoking, I would like to hear how you're doing regardless of your habit ;0)

I have not had a cigarette in 7 months! I only smoked for 6 years, but I was a 1 1/2 pack a day, smoker. It was hard as hell. I must have "quit" 10 times before, but never more than a couple of weeks. This time, I think that I will be ok, but I never know. The most important thing that helped me to quit smoking was that I also quit drinking alcohol, which I was doing every day in excess. I would always be smoking cigarettes when I was drinking and so it would be hard for me to quit smoking seeing as how I had a serious drinking problem... Anyway, its hard as hell for about two weeks or so, and then it gets much easier. You can't quit by cutting down. It does not work. You need to stop altogether. Think of it as pulling off real fast like a Band-Aid. It might hurt for a while, but you will definetly be glad that you did it that way.

Good for you! I quit a year ago by going on a "cigarette diet". And I'm doing great. Weather is warm (finally!) and we'll be going outside to play chalk games on the driveway after lunch. Thanks for asking....
