i know this sounds funny, but its not, since global warming is happening right now, polar bears are having to swim long distances to get to land, or ice i should say. Some have to swim 400 miles, and some of those die of starvation. America is also running out of water supplies according to the tribune 3 weeks ago. I also watched a documentary and they said by the year 2050, we will lose 50 species of animals, very scary to think about. Let me know your take on this, and if you have any advice to make it better? thank you all, Nicole :)

Did you get your info straight from Al Gore, or are you just a slave to CNN?

Ignore the foolish, ignorant answers....you are 100% correct.
Not only are the polar bears having to swim farther distances, they are also not getting the proper amounts of fats they need to stay warm because all the pollutants are damaging the fish and seals they live off of.
Sadly.. it will take a great effort on ALL of us to fix the mess we have made of Mother Earth.
Start by "NOT" using toxic chemicals and styrofoam..recycle whenever you can and every time you go out for a nature walk, take along a bag(s) to pick up trash. Every little bit you do helps in the long run.
Bless you for caring!!!!

Most people don't really care about this. Unfortunately. Since they don't live in that area, and don't see the effects, they don't believe it. It is horrible. But my question to all you anti global warming fanatics is this. What makes you think human beings and all the crap we put into the air has no effect on the ozone? Come on. Are you really all that scientifically illiterate?

If ice is melting due to "global warming", then how could America be running out of water?

Who told you that load of crap? Global warming is a myth.
Myth - A person or thing existing only in imagination, or whose actual existence is not verifiable. This word originates from the Sanskrit word "Mithya"; with the same meaning.

I read that in Time magazine. It is true that polar bears are drowning. This is due to global warming.

Hmm... interesting how we could be running out of water. It's just the most abundant resource on the planet. Not to mention, it is really good at recycling itself.

i really don't believe the polar bear thing. but the rest of it is right. we do have plenty of water, but not plenty of good water. we are polluting the earth at a startling rate. and it will be our doom if we don't take care of it. and no i am not a al gore supporter. i voted against him.
