Your question raises an interesting dilemma. Generally, it takes two to tango. However, if conception results from the dalliance, only the woman has a choice. The man cannot elect to continue or terminate the pregnancy. If the woman elects to terminate, the man has no legal right to stop her. If she decides to carry to term, he has no right to force her to abort even though she is forcing him into an eighteen year financial obligation he never signed up for.
Although coragryph fairly stated a legal difference, I believe he missed the larger question. Would it not be fair for a man to be able to pay one half the going rate for abortion if the woman becomes pregnant through consensual sex? This payment would then absolve him of further legal obligation to the mother or child. Right now, if he has no say in the "choice" should he be forced to pay for the woman's decision?

I believe in choice for the issue of a woman's right to control her body and her health.
That being said - when to people engage in sex then BOTH are responsible if a child is born. Again - your right the mother gets to choose, but every time a man engages in sex he does it knowing full well that he could be a Father from that encounter. He has to take accountability for that action.
Deadbeat dads need to get over this "I pay the mother" line - the support is for the child, and rarely ever equals out to one half the cost of raising a child.
If you can't use your penis responsibly or you don't want to be responsible for another human life then keep it in your pants. Just because a woman offers sex doesn't mean you have to engage in it. Just take your toy and go home!

not related. "deadbeat dad" is a political tool nothing else. in fact if the mother calls the father that in front of the child it is a violation of the court order. truthfully the CSEA could care less about the kid, they only care about the money they make off child support.
no,i don't pay child support,i won custody without a lawyer. i have kept my ex out of jail over non payment.

Most deadbeat dads don't, and wouldn't be able to, take care of their 'creations'. For this reason, why should women 'pay' the entire cost, when they have no choice but to have 'kept what was created'. If you think abortion is a simple choice, tell that to a woman that may suffer emotional trauma, not to mention possible complications for future child bearing, for years to come after they've had an abortion. That's my two cents for ya.

It takes two to tango. It's just as much your fault, as a man, for not being responsible when you borrow a woman's body for the night. If you don't want the kid, it's better off without you. You don't deserve to have children anyway. It's a privledge to be a dad.

Because one has nothing to do with the other.
A "deadbeat dad" is one who was ordered by the court to make payments. That's a court order. So, the person who refuses to follow that court order is breaking the law. By definition.
What could that possibly have to do with whether a woman is allowed to control what happens inside her own body?

I think you're confusing them with pro-lifers. Pro-choice women would be more likely to not have the baby in the first place.

you are dazed and confused obviously. its the pro-lifers who would most likely have the unwanted babies and end up chasing after dead-beat dads who didn't want the babies.
