I'm not sure how Katie Holmes did it, probably just a restricted diet and lots of exercise. You can try what i'm trying now, the honey lemon water diet. Its supposed to cleans your body and help jump start weight loss. Depending on your weight, you can lose between like 5-20 lbs in the first week or two.

You have to remember that celebs have personal trainer and dietitian's. I advise not going on a crash diet it always causes the weight to come back. I had a baby myself and gained a whole lot of weight. it came off slowly at first and then i hit a plateau about twenty pounds from my target. Here is what helped me to lose that weight in short order. i cut out all the trans fats, it is found mostly in processed foods and sweets, also in fast food. i started drinking lots and lots of water. it flushes out stored water and helps with fat lose. Do not try and limit yourself to much do have your favourite treats once in awhile but try to stick in a lot of water based fruits. Snacking on healthy things like low fat nutrigrain bars those special k bars, eat lots of other low fat foods like grilled chicken low fat diary products. stay away from white starches, use whole wheat instead. I am not a big cardio fan so i do yoga and Pilate's it really helps. Good luck on your weight lose endeavour it is possible it just takes a little work.

Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.

Well, firstly- Katie has dietitians preparing her food, a full time sitter so she can do as she wants (exercise and rest), she has hired a "crew" to assure she loses weight and keeps it off.
What you should do is find a pal you can trust and exercise with her/ him at least 3x's a week, drink plenty of water and eat in healthy proportions... there is no miricle diet... set your golas and achieve them!
YOu can do it!
