the general ones that can be read in newspapers and magazines should be read just for fun

You are More than a Sun Sign
The relative positions of all the bodies in our Solar System to each other and their positions within the 12 Zodiac Signs, flavour your basic character that is initially set by the Ruling Planet.
An Astrologer draws your individual Birth Chart, by placing at the exact position in the Zodiac, at the time of your birth - the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune & Pluto. Some Astrologers will also take into account a variety of Asteroids.

I can not overemphasize how this combination of influences, positions and inter-relationships, shift what a professional Astrologer considers not only for your Character at time of birth but how the chart of past, present & future moments influence your behaviour and reactions to circumstance, what the public think is predicting the future. This is in fact more like forecasting the weather but does have the advantage of totally predictable planetry positions.

Your 'Stars' or Sun Sign column as popular in magazines and web sites, use ONLY the Suns basic position in the Zodiac, it can be uncannily close at times but is only the first of many considerations when it comes to understanding you, your motives, how you react in different situations and of great importance to you - how the predictable positions of planets will influence your future. The interpretation of that comes down to the technical skills and intuitive abilities of the Astrologer

I don't generally read horoscopes. Only if I want a good laugh.

Why? Because I'm an astrologer myself. I know how general horoscopes *should* work, and I know why they don't always, or rather - rarely - apply to us as persons. It's good fun reading what so-called astrologers try to make us believe in the dailies, though...

I don't because I think they're a bunch of bulls***. To sort-of "check", I once read the horoscopes of all starsigns, and even read outdated horoscopes. And guess what, all of them could somehow be applied to me...

They just choose some very general topic and very vaguely go over it in a mysterious way lol

Sometimes for fun...but they are so general that whatever they say has to work for like half of the population...so no...I don't believe that they come true. Sometimes when I am having awful days, my horoscope says I will have a wonderful day. Or the exact opposite.

I do indeed read horoscopes, now just because Iread them doesn't mean i beleive them. I just read it for the fun of it, a little humor in life. So, yeah i do read them, however I do not believe them.

No because I don't believe in them! My sisters and I are Capricorns but very different and the predictions never fit us, the description of the Character of a Capricorn doesn't fit and everything is too general!
Some will say it's because of other planets at the time of our births etc........
The rubbish printed in papers and magazines are just that.... RUBBISH! (Usually one says it's going to be a good day another the opposite)

Because they are entirely fictitious. No two astrologers ever agree on what's going to happen, and if astrology were a science (and therefore true) history would keep repeating itself as the stars and planets move in cycles.

No because how can they possibly relate to all who are born in that period. The Romans observed the characteristics of people born in the same period and that is where the association of character and birth came about, not the reverse.

I used to but I just dont bother any more-they cant be accurate as they are printed in bulk and not all virgos (for instance) are gonna win the lottery on a wed just cos it says you are in the back of a paper!
