We buy a lot of Venezuelan oil. Yet, Hugo, instead of being thankful for that, has been travelling around following Bush's path, giving money away (that came from oil profits) and calling us evil.

Do we need any more evidence to stop use of foreign oil?

You hit the nail on the head. Until we stop "needing" the amount of oil we consume in the US we'll be subject to playing the kind of games where there is always a loser.

Hugo Chavez wants to continue selling us his oil. He just doesn't want us to become the player who writes all the rules. The one who writes the rules often wins at the expense of the others.

I think Bush's current plan to turn Brazil into a sugar cane field is definitely the solution to Venezuela being a pain in the neck. Bush wants 20% less oil that correlates to Venezuelas 20% contribution. We will see if the Brazilians are more appreciative of our most excellent international dealings.

If the stupid tree huggin liberals would get out of the way, we could use more of our own oil. Hugo Chavez is no better than a Saddam Hussein.

Money stops being 'yours' to control when you spend it.
Oil is not a buyers market. If Venezuela did not sell to the US, they would sell to someone else.

They have no need to be "Thankful" to the US. Sorry to burst your ego.
