I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to remove coffee stains from antique china tea cups?

this the way you remove tea or coffee stains from china. with a damp cloth dipped in bicarbonate of soda before you rinse them. If the stains are very old and stubborn to remove you can buy a special product for this in any of the chins stores. But try not to use much washing up liquid when you use them . Lay cups on their sides in groups of four, with the handle of each cup inside the bowel of another , and place the group on stacked saucers

The denture tablets are a good trick, but if it doesn't work, then the best option is to use a tannin stain remover. Tannin is the staining agent found in coffee, tea and colas. Good to have on hand for cleaning of any accidental spills even on clothing and carpeting. Most grocery stores sell the stain remover, some are called Tannin-X, if they don't carry it, then your local hardware or janitorial supply store will

Tea and coffee stains can be removed from ceramic cups with denture-cleaning tablets. Just fill the cup with warm water, and drop in a tablet. When the tablet stops fizzing, empty the cup, and if it's still stained, repeat the process.

hi - i do no longer think of bleach works that properly... what i've got had the main success with is rubbing a paste of baking soda and water instantaneous, and letting it sit down for awhile. To make the paste, you rather combine baking soda and water till it makes a thick paste... then rub it instantaneous and allow the baking soda pass to artwork. what's nappy sand?

soak them in vinegar for half day & then clean it w/normal soap
