If you are pregnant (if you test positive) then you should make an appointment right away.
You count from the first day of your period. You can test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant and get an accurate result.

well if you are asking how they determine a due date then yes it goes by the first day of your last period or sometimes by ultrasound measurments you should go to see an obgyn as soon as you get a positive home pregnancy test just to make sure and then usually they wait untill you are 7-8 weeks for the next appointment good luck hope this helps if you need more info try going to parentcenter.com they have a lot of good info

Well you would count from your LMP(Last Menstral Period)enless you know when you ovulated. You should call your Doctor and find out when he or she wants you to go in, alot of doctors are different. The normal time is between 8 to 12 weeks but some will wait till 12 to 20 weeks. GOOD LUCK!!

Start counting from the first day of your last period.
Most doctors want to see you around 8 to 12 weeks. Call them w/ the first day of your last period and they will tell you how far you are and book your appt for you.

Your initial due date is calculated from the first day of your last period.....then they will usually do a ultrasound to confirm this due date.

Usually your first appointment is somewhere between 8-12 weeks.

you should see a doctor now...he/she can officially determine if you're pregnant or not and then if you are, then he can get you on the right track to a healthy pregnancy immediately!
