Should I pay for a lawyer or go for one of those software trust kits? Also, can you please outline main advantages that trusts have over wills?

A estate attorney, they do this all the time, and they will know what to do for your special case. Everyone's circumstances are different, you should talk to someone, instead of a software.

I'd personally go with a lawyer experienced in living trusts because there are implications that the lawyer would be able to avoid not structuring it properly.
