I know oven cleaners will tell you not to use the product on racks or elements and what have you....but is it safe to use them on a broiler pan that seems to have come with the oven or at the very least looks to be the same material as the inside of the oven?

I have to clean my oven anyway and I can't get this darn pan clean!!!

you can but you need to make sure you wash it completely afterwards and make sure its rinsed very well. they chemicals in most oven cleaners are very caustic and toxic to humans.

Yes you can or you can just put he racks and the broiler pan into a large garbage bag and add 1 cup ammonia and 1 cup hot water. Tie up the bag, and let set overnight. Make sure you put the bag somewhere so if it leaks it won't ruin anything. The next morning just spray off the gunk and wash broiler pan and racks in hot soapy water.
Hope this helps..

Since you're using an oven cleaner on your oven, that probably means you don't have a self cleaning oven, right?.... But, if you do have a self cleaning oven, my suggestion is to put the broiler pan into the oven and clean both simultaneously using the automatic self cleaning setting on the oven. That's how I clean my cast iron pans when they need it.

Otherwise, sorry, I don't know for sure if you can use the oven cleaner on the broiler pan....I would tend to also assume that you could, but I dont' know for sure.
