No - far from it, with falling wages, the decline in employer funded health benefits and rising rents and prices, poverty will be increasing in the next decade!!

Not a chance sadly.
With the likes of New Orleans in a state of disrepair while the fat cats of the country buzz about in their yachts.
When tax after tax is laid on the British driver, while those in power just claim it back in expenses. When tax after tax is mooted to be added to air-travel (which in time may well revert to the old ideal of it only being possible for the extremely well off.)
When Directors all over the world buy-up companies to make redundant half the workforce just to save money and ensure their nice fat salary and £100,000 car stays buffed.
When Globalisation takes jobs away from those in 1st world countries just to exploit the cheap workforce in 2nd world countries.
Sadly I cannot see poverty being removed ever, it may now move around the world rather than stay in undeveloped countries, but the Rich / Poor divide is growing, its by no means decreasing.
