No.
1.People who claim to tell fortunes are often very good at reading peoples body language and tell whether they are getting close to something that means something to you. You may also have inadvertantly given them some positive response without realising it, which would have helped them realise they were on the right track.
2.Almost everyone who visites fortune tellers has some sort of wish, hope or fear or else why would they visit one in the first place. Fortune tellers learn how to manipulate this.
3. People are often in a vulnerable state of mind or going through a life change when visiting a fortune teller, making them more subsceptible to manipulation and want to believe the good things they are told.
4. Fortune tellers make very generalised statements that can be used to describe anyones circumstances, the listener just chooses to interpret it in a way that makes sense to them, putting great emphasis on 'truths' and disregarding anything (without realising) that doesnt fit.
FT's are very good at what they do, as it is big business, but it doesnt mean theres any truth in it. If the person who told you your future isnt a proffessional FT then it is likely they are using the knowledge they have about you to make inferences about your wishes.

No, I wouldn't actually. All that really proves is that that person is a good judge of character, that they know what you want and that they give you false hopes.
Now I would make an exception for when their fortune telling is so detailled, that they can only have found out by either reading my mind or having stalked me for months or even years on end. I believe neither of the two, so in that case, I would be inclined to believe the future they foretold.

I sure the hell would WANT to believe it. I don't think i would, though. What i want for myself in the future is so complex and copmplete i don't think in my wildest dreams it'd come true! haha :] very good question.
