I'm a 17 year old female and I live in Louisiana can i move out of my parents house without thier consent if i have some where to live and prove that i can live in a house on my own.

I agree that you could be reported as a runaway. Until the legal age for emancipation, your parents are responsible for your actions and debts. Not likely you could rent or buy a house or apartment at 17 since any contract would not be legally binding.

States vary from 16-18 as far as when you are considered a legal adult. Most are 18. So i am going to assume that legally you can not , and will be considered a runaway.

Just wait until you are 18 or almost 18 at least.

technically you can, I have friends who have done it. The only thing that your parents can do is call the cops, and the only thing the cops can do is SUGGEST that you return home. Legally, you can leave your parents house at 17 and your parents can't do a thing about it. They don't have to give you all of your belongings, but you can leave without their consent.

Join the Army. They can make it legal and ship parents to gitmo
