What you're feeling sounds like pain from the baby pushing on your back. Pretty much when the baby turns head down his/her head can push on all your nerves and stuff around your tailbone and make it really painful. If it's constant, then it's not labor or anything. As for what back labor feels like, I've never experienced it personally, but I hear it's pretty bad. However, as far as I know, feeling what you're feeling now isn't an indication of whether you'll have back labor or not. You should definitely talk to your OB at your next appointment and see what he can recommend. Hope this helps!

I did not have back labor persaonlly but I hear that it is very painful. It happens when the baby is head down but facing backwards. There are exercises that you can do to help turn the baby. Ask a childbirth coach. I remember it involves getting on all fours and stretching and arching your back but check with an expert to be sure!!!! You may just be uncomfortable from being very pregnant and the baby's position could be fine. Whatever it is, good luck!

Back labor is excruciating! I was given an epidural when I was only 3 cm because the back labor made me vomit. I was actually made to walk to progress my labor and I only went from 1 cm to 3 cm in 7 hours. As soon as I got my epidural I went up to 7 cm within 2 hours. Good luck, I wouldn't wish back labor on anyone.

OMG..I had back labor with my 1st it is SO painful. It is like a really bad period cramp. That wraps around your back really hard..I don't even know how to really describe it, it just hurts. I honestly think it is the reason most women get epi's. Because with my 3rd child I went into labor(I had to have a scheduled c-section) but I only had contraction is my stomach area and to me it wasn't bad at all.. But with my first I still managed to have him naturally.
