I know several people who would rather have pets.. than children.. some people just aren't "people" people.. [if that makes sense] This doesn't mean everybody is less sympathetic. Some people get into some disaster and run to save the family dog rather than the child. Others do the opposite. It doesn't make either person right or wrong. We should love all creatures. The fact that some people don't is something we will never be able to change. Just learn to live with it.
Some students devote their lives to become doctors and nurses and some choose to become vets. Truth is, we wouldn't be able to go through this worls without any of these people. We need both [and I don't mean extremists]. But we need people lovers as much as we need animal lovers. Someone has to care for them.

Humans...or should we say some humans are more unsympathetic than others....I think that in today's world it is a ME.. ME.. ME.. world...most people care less about anything or anyone but themselves...That is what we are being taught in today's society....Instead of reaching out a hand and helping someone up the ladder they are being stepped on as the others pass them by......The scary thought is that the leaders of tomorrow are going to come from these people....Heaven help us all......

Some are. I am. I hate people, love animals. An animal doesn't pretend to be grateful to you for helping it, it really is. Animals never hurt you just because they can. Animals are never cruel for fun, they only kill to eat.
