i need to know the year most of the estates were built and how to find out when entering a house number and st/rd/close when that house was built

Look for the tax district in your county. Im in Harris County TX, so go to Yahoo and type in XXX County Tax (or appraisal) District and they should have all of that info online.

Other than a computer search, you can go to the City with the address. I would call first and ask what office the records are kept. I know in my City they wouldn't give it out over the phone..But try. I did a search once on-line and somehow or ever I got to the sold houses and I was able to retrieve it there but sorry to say that I just can't remember where it was ..it was a long time ago.

Local Land Registry will give you that info - maybe for a small sum. Or do a search on the net:

As you are in the UK, you need to go on the Land Registry website.
