First, they dont live in your house, they have a tunnel they build to come into your house and feast, then go back home into the ground surrounding the house.

The cheapest and easiest way is to take a spade and go around the house footer working the ground back, then apply a generous amount of rock salt to that groove youve made. Gone will be the termintes as you have done two things, Number one, youve rid of their tunnel entrances, and number two that salt will swell out their bodies and kill them off. Replinish the salt about once a year and you are fully protected. This is an old reliable cheap and good method.

No need to hire one of these exterminators with a pump that forces liquid sarafan into the soil, that isnt needed and is a waste of money on the homeowners part. It last no longer and doent even do a good job in most cases and requires three to four applications where as the above Rock Salt method works every time upon one application.

There aren't any effective solutions available to the general public. Anything you can buy will be a 'Band-Aid' not a cure. You'll have to call a pro.

Call companies that have been around for several years. Compare treatment options, costs and warranties. Some companies offer repair of future damages if the termites come back.

There really isn't any way to do a home treatment. They've discovered the lusciousness of your woody home and aren't going away. Call a pro.
