Okay, here goes. I work in a nursing home. There is this CNA there that seriously most likely weighs around 350- think Gwenyth in Shallow Hal, but shorter and fatter...she throws a fit if she has to work on any hall except the easiest one, then she does nothing but sit on her butt all day. Then she has the audacity to call everyone else lazy. Then we have this certain stool in the dining room that she "HAS" to have. Dinner is at 5:30, so she sits down until she has to get up, so she doesn't get to the dining room until around 5:45-6, then she looks for 'her' stool and if anyone else is using it, she throws her hands up in the air to make the person feel bad. This weekend, she actually kicked someone out of it! She is so two faced as well-she will buddy up to something to get all the dirt, then turn around and tell the other person. Oh, and there isn't a time when you walk by her that she is not eating. And if you go out somewhere and bring something back, she licks her lips and gives you this puppy dog look and says for example, "you went for chinese and didn't tell me...!" So Annoying!!!!

I think annoys is more than is what is really the problem. He just hates me and has since the first day I started. He has issues with the past experiences in war and can fly into a verbal rage over nothing. He does the mad dog looks to me but I just stare back, he don't scare me none. I am healthy minded and know that he can't help being a nut. Too bad too, I like him enough but the poor guy can't stand me. He is now not allowed to work w/customers as he swears at them. It takes all kinds of people to make life interesting. He is like a time bomb.

Jan. She was the one who would sit there and smile at you, then run and tell the boss that you were not handling your project properly, that you lied about someone, that you were picking on someone....... then she'd come back into the room and smile at you some more...... If you got into trouble, Jan was happy. Always wanted everyone else to hurt.

Jan threatened me, several times. Made veiled references to owning a gun that could easily be sneaked into the office in a purse. When I complained, I looked like the complete idiot........ I saw her with a knife up her sleeve. I SAW it, and there's no doubt what she intended to do with it...... She carried around a book titled "How To Build a Bomb" and read it at her desk.

She got put in jail one night for being drunk and disorderly. Boss asked her, she convinced him that she was merely making snow angels, and the cops hadn't found it funny.

She called another girl "to say goodbye" because she couldn't take the rotten treatment she gets from office mates. She was going to take a bunch of pills. The other girl called the State Police, asked them to check on her.....Jan told the police that it was just a joke.

If anyone complains, and the boss calls Jan into his office, she turns those big, brown eyes on him, and cries. Tells him how she is so misunderstood. How people dislike her because she's intelligent, because she knows how to do a project better, etc. Boss is a big softy. He believes her BS. Then the person who complained gets into trouble for lying about poor Jan.

Jan will complain about illness. Since I've known her, she said she had MS, H, Pylorie, a seizure disorder that the doctors cant find a cure for. A heart attack. A blood disorder. On and on and on.

She's having marital problems with hubby #3. She says he's an alcoholic. #1 had her institutionalized for attempting to kill him. #2 just found someone else, who Jan says is a crazy person.

I am so dang glad that I've retired and moved away. One of these days something bad is going to happen in that office.

Well, I have this lady who cackles the entire time that we are there. She is so loud. She walk the hallways always laughing, the thing is that she is in her 30's you would swear this woman is in her teens. She also talks about her personal sex life, she is bisexual, not that I have a problem with that but she really goes into detail. The whole floor can here. There is a time and a place for that! She plays pranks the whole time she is there on everyone else. Enough is enough. I can see playing one prank but everyday? It gets tiring. She is very immature. Can you tell she gets on my nerves? I have to shut the door to my office but I can still here her through my walls! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I work in a kitchen and there is one woman in particular that really annoys me, she is dirty and lazy. I am forever wiping down benches after her and cleaning off the grill. If she makes burgers she walks away and leaves fat and crap all over the grill, the spatulas are left dirty and have to be cleaned before they can be used again and salad stuff is left all over the prep bench. When she cracks eggs she drizzles the whites across the sides of the grill too. I have seen her licking her fingers on more than one occasion while wrapping food. One night when I went into work as she was knocking off she had left crumbs of roast meat all over the chopping board where she had been serving roasts. She never fills up the coffee and sugar containers, rarely wipes the steam nozzles on the coffee machine and the milkshake machine is left dirty without fail. If I take over from her with cooking you can bet I need to fill the lettuce, carrot, cheese, onion and tomato containers too. As stock runs low in the kitchen we need to take more out of the freezer but she never seems to be able to do that either, leaves the next cook with nothing in the fridge to cook with. Boy I could go on forever, you really opened a can of worms...lol

Ok, I had a co-worker who apparently was 'allergic' to soap. never took a shower and sweats like a pig in the desert. He liked to hover around people too and he always seemed to wear the same thing. I am also pretty sure he was allergic to toothpaste and a hairbrush. anyway, if that wasn't enough he was always complaining about something and was always very negative. He could depress a clown. he always made the work day terrible. He also was 'always right'. he would come up with stupid information, that no one havd ever heard about and could not dispute. I worked at call centre so he was always talking and i just wanted to rip my ears off everytime i heard his voice, which of course was louder than anyone elses. If it wasn't the job that made people quit, it was him. He got laid off work just after I quit!!!!

I've a passive agressive nut case who's also the senior employee. He won't take up things directly out in the open, but send very snippy and petty emails to people, and has caused some real misgivings given his slanted interpretation of events. While he's a specialist in his area, he's also highly territorial and berates and harasses anyone who may be doing some work in his field, to the point where no one wants to do it anymore, which hurts our productivity. He constantly whines and complains about the lack of appreciation he receives, but he won't hold himself accountable for his actions and never willingly takes the initiative to learn new technologies. In short, a grumpy, paranoid dinosaur who won't learn new tricks and isn't above stabbing people in the back if it gives him some twisted sense of mastery over the office. He'll be a tough nut to crack, but we've some ideas....

I worked with this guy named Michael, who seriously stunk bad! One day it would be just body odor, the next it would be feet, the day after that, it would be something you just couldn't figure out! Ewe! He had diabetes and he ate out greasy fast food like 3 times a week and would always be checking his blood sugar and always be making himself sick! A family member of mine has diabetes, so I sympathize, but you've got to take care of yourself! Geesh!

Not only that though, you have to understand that I work the third shift, so it's really boring and quiet most of the time. This guy wore these z-coil shoes, which if you haven't seen YOU HAVE TO go check out the link below. These things are outrageously stupid looking! Anyways he would sit there and bounce on them for hours like some kind of weirdo! He also hummed and made other mouth noises constantly! He came to work one night with a box of Imodium AD and spent half of the night stinking up the whole hallway with his diarrhea! He wasn't much for talking either, which is what the night crew does the most of when we're not on the Internet! Also, there was more than one occasion I caught him peeking over my shoulder when I was online! Sicko!
Thankfully he quit, so we don't have to deal with him anymore!

I don't have any that annoy me.

To the answerer with the "Sheryl" story...
Sheryl gets away with what she does because of seniority ...and because you let her. I'm not saying that it's your fault and all that. She took the first step in controlling you by telling you how to do your job. Ok...you say she is just a regular worker just like you, not the boss or management. Alright then...your job is none of Sheryl's business. The next time she complains to Amy consider asking Amy how much work Sheryl is getting done on her own job if she is spending her time bossing you around. If I were in your position I would tell Sheryl.."Mind your own business. I have a job to do. So do you and you can't do it if you are spending your time bossing me around. Besides that I already know how to do my job so I don't need any interference from you." She will probably report you to Amy for saying that. At that time you can explain to Amy what Sheryl is doing and that it makes it difficult for you to do your job.
Sheryl sounds like of these people who can't tolerate change and considering how frequently she runs to Amy she sounds like a complainer. In order to get her to back off you're going to have to stand up for yourself and don't let anything Sheryl says get to you, if you do then Sheryl has the advantage. You might also consider having a private meeting with Amy when Sheryl is not around and just tell Amy that you are having trouble doing your job when Sheryl is around because she is consantly interfering in your work.
